Why I love working here:
The combination of career exploration, twinned with the knowledge that we are children of God, is breathtaking. Using their God-given talents, BYU students will literally change lives – in families, in communities, and in organizations. I am inspired everyday by this potential.
Quote I live by:
“If you don’t like it, change it. If you can’t change it, change your attitude.”
-Maya Angelou
Advice for Students:
It may seem unbelievable, but life after graduation is busier! Make the time to be proactive: schedule those informational interviews, attend a lecture and make a connection with a faculty member, ask your relatives at Thanksgiving about their career regrets… Information-gathering and making connections now are currency later on.
Also, take a moment to breathe. Few of us know what we actually want to be when we grow up! Your life will have twists and turns professionally and that is okay. Expect it and embrace the unknown.
Favorite BYU Ice Cream Flavor:
Graham Canyon
What I love doing when I’m not at work:
Perfection for me is a walk with my husband and three children in a gorgeous canyon, a Scandinavian mystery novel, and homemade Italian food.
