My day job for the past 9 years is in higher education at Brigham Young University. I am the Director of Recruiting Experience. I work primarily with recruiters to help them connect with BYU students through jobs, virtual events or on campus events. I love teaching one on one appointments and teaching groups of students.

Most of my experience before higher education has been teaching English as a second language. I taught English in Japan for 1.5 years and then continued to teach ESL in San Diego, New York and virtually in Utah for a collective total of 8 years. Having taken a break to work in higher Ed in Utah at BYU, it is now my privilege to teach one on one appointments as well as teach teams once again. While the focus of teaching is different with Clifton Strengths, there are many similarities. I love using Clifton Strengths as a tool to help individuals discover their natural talents and then help them see how to turn those talents into strengths. Learning English would help open a whole new world to individuals. My teaching in the pattern set up by Clifton Strengths help empower individuals to have many moments of self- discovery as they learn their top talents.

My goal in teaching strengths is to help individuals identify and clearly understand their top talents. To have individuals realize their top talents are valuable to them and others. Once they are aware of their talents, my coaching can point them in a direction to help them accomplish things in a way they had never thought.
