Why I love working here: I loved my time at BYU as an undergrad in American Studies. Now, after a career in communications, it's thrilling to be on the other side helping students discover what's possible in their futures. Students are the heart of it all.
It’s also important that my work be tethered a mission-driven environment, and what better mission is there than assisting individuals in their quest for perfection and eternal life? Oh, and it's rad to work so close to a bowling alley. And a world-class library. And incredible faculty. The list goes on.
Quote I live by: “There are three ways to ultimate success: The first way is to be kind. The second way is to be kind. The third way is to be kind.” –Fred Rogers
Advice for Students: A favorite hymn reminds me that I don’t need to “see the distant scene.” Instead, “one step” is enough for me. I’ve been overwhelmed before trying to figure out the end from the beginning in my career and life, but I’ve found a better way is to work hard, focus on the next right thing, and to “believe in God; believe that he is.” Not sure what the next step is? Come see our office!
Favorite BYU Ice Cream Flavor: Graham Canyon
What I love doing when I’m not at work: Riding bikes with my family, exploring new places, traveling, playing chess, and baking bread.
